Overseas Traning

  • Workshop on “Therapeutic Endoscopies” at Prince of Wales Hospital, Hong Kong in December 1988. Training in ERCP under supervision of Dr. Robert Hartfield at Middlesex Hospital, London in August 1990.
  • Training in Colonoscopy under guidance of Dr. Christopher Williams at St. Marks Hospital, London in August 1990.
  • Training in Advanced GI Endoscopies under guidance of Dr. Peter Cotton at Duke University, North Carolina USA in April 1993.

Overseas Assignments

  • Observer at Auckland Hospital, New Zealand with Dr. Mark Lane in November 1994.
  • Guest lectures on various subjects at conferences and CMEs.

Dr. Barve initiated a campaign for creating awareness about HepatitisB all over India with the support of Government of India, Mr. J. P. Nadda, the Honorable Union Minister for Health & Family Welfare and Unicef . Mr. Amitabh Bachchan is associated with this project as a brand ambassador. This campaign will help in early detection and prevention of complications of Hepatitis B by creating awareness about Hepatitis B vaccination.
