Dr. Nagraj Shetty specializes in the treatment of Knee, Shoulder,Elbow, Ankle and Hip joint disorders. He has an exclusive practice as an Arthroscopic Surgeon performing advanced arthroscopic and reconstructive surgeries of the shoulder, shoulder replacements, knee ligament , multiligament reconstructions ,articular cartilage reconstruction ,meniscus repair and High tibial osteotomy. He is among the very few surgeons performing arthroscopic surgeries of the elbow , ankle and hip joints After completing his Masters in Orthopaedics he started training himself in his chosen subspeciality of Arthroscopy and Shoulder Surgery in Mumbai. He completed his first Fellowship in Arthroscopy, Sports Orthopaedics ,Shoulder Surgery from centres of excellence in South Korea in 2009. He further completed a fellowship in Advanced Shoulder and Elbow Surgery from Italy (World renowned Cattolica Shoulder Unit).

He has also received advanced training in Shoulder and Ankle Surgery from Netherlands ,Germany, France and Knee Surgery from Barcelona ;Spain at centres dedicated to treatment of high level athletes (Football etc). With extensive training and practical experience as an Assistant Professor at DMIMS (Wardha) where he worked as a specialist Arthroscopic Surgeon, he started his exclusive Arthroscopy and Shoulder Surgery practise in Mumbai in 2012.

Currently Dr Shetty maintains an active clinical practice being attatched to many premiere hospitals in Mumbai like Lilavati Hospital and Medical research centre and performs over 600 arthroscopic and open reconstructive procedures annually. He is a very popular surgeon among senior and junior colleagues alike . Having already treated some top level sportsmen, actors etc he has a very large patient base to his credit not only in Mumbai but also in Surat, Nashik, Guwahati etc. He has also treated a number of international patients.

On the academic front he has published many articles in reputed indexed Arthroscopy and Shoulder Surgery journals and book chapters to his credit.He is a regular Faculty for major National , International arthroscopy and Shoulder Surgery conferences since 2013.He has performed many live surgeries nationally and internationally.

He is Head of department at BDBA, Municipal gen hospital, kandivili,Mumbai where he is teacher for Diploma Orthopaedics (CPS Mumbai). He is also fellowship director ,for 2 fellowship positions every 6 months ( Arthrosports ,Mumbai).
