After completing M.S. in General Surgery (2010), Dr. Amol Bhanushali was an Assistant Professor in General Surgery at Seth G.S. Medical College & K.E.M. Hospital, Mumbai. He then did his Fellowship in Thoracic Surgery at the prestigious Tata Memorial Hospital, Mumbai (2012-13).

He was awarded the International College of Surgeons Travelling Fellowship and went on to receive further training in Video-assisted Thoracoscopic Surgery (VATS) at Cedars Sinai Medical Centre, Los Angeles, USA. Thereafter he trained in Advanced Thoracic Surgery at the Department of Minimally Invasive Thoracic Surgery, Medanta the Medicity, Gurgaon.After returning back, he started performing Open Thoracic Surgery & VATS at various hospitals in Mumbai and Thane.

In 2014, he obtained Fellowship in Minimal Access Surgery (FMAS) by the Association of Minimal Access Surgeons of India. In 2015, he was awarded Fellowship in Advanced Laparoscopic Surgery (FALS) – subspeciality VATS.He is an invited speaker at many national & international conferences and workshops. He regularly conducts CME programs and training courses for junior surgeons in VATS. He is also faculty at the Asia Thoracoscopic Surgery Education Program.
