• Passed the Fellowship of the College of Physicians & Surgeons Examination of the College of Physicians & Surgeons of Bombay in March 1993 - Secured Dr L R Patel Medal for standing first amongst all the candidates.
• Awarded the BAI NASSERWANJI COOPER PRIZE for the BEST THESIS ON SURGICAL PROBLEM for the year 1991.
• Awarded the BEST PAPER AWARD at the XIIIth Annual Conference of the Maharashtra Chapter of the Association of Surgeons in February 1991.
• Selected as the BEST INTERN (Dr NINA DAHEJA PREMCHAND PRIZE) at KEM Hospital for the year 1987.
• Awarded the POST GRADUATE MERIT SCHOLARSHIP by the Bombay University for post graduate studies from 1988 to 1992.
• Attended the PAEDIATRIC ADVANCED LIFE SUPPORT Course conducted by the American Heart Association and the American Academy of Paediatrics
• SELECTION FOR THE INDIAN ADMINISTRATIVE SERVICE Ranked 69th in the most coveted services examination conducted for the INDIAN ADMINISTRATIVE SERVICE, Government of India in which 101 candidates were selected of the 400,000 that appeared all over India. Was the only candidate from the Maharashtra state to have been appointed to the post from 1982 to 1987.
